UHNM Charity teams up with local businesses in £10,000 kitchen competition

UHNM Charity is giving its staff, patients and members of the public the chance to win a dream kitchen makeover worth £10,000 this festive season.

The charity has teamed up with WDPS Stoke, LD Property, Tile Central UK, Howdens Joinery, SMART Electrical and DC Plumbing to make it a Christmas to remember for one lucky winner.

The fundraising competition, which costs £1 to enter via text message, will see 100 per cent of the proceeds go towards UHNM Charity, helping to improve patient care and experience at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM).

Lisa Thomson, Director of Communications and Charity at UHNM said: “We’re delighted and grateful that our charity partners have very kindly donated this prize of a £10,000 voucher towards somebody’s next kitchen.

“For a one pound text message our staff, patients and member of the public can make this an unforgettable Christmas. The best part is every penny raised from this competition will help UHNM Charity to further improve the patient care and experience at Royal Stoke and County Hospital in Stafford.”

This is the second festive giveaway from UHNM Charity. In 2021 UHNM staff member Lorraine Kearns from Porthill became the proud owner of a £5,000 bathroom courtesy of Tile Central UK.

• The prize is £10,000 kitchen voucher as stated, is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. You may wish to allocate this voucher to suit your personal requirements on agreement from WDPS Stoke.
• Kitchen will be fitted during January-June 2023
• Winner must live within 30 miles of ST4 8GA.
• A site visit to the property that the kitchen is to be installed is required. (Carried out by WDPS, Howdens Joinery, Tile Central UK, SMART Electrical and DC Plumbing)

• Open to everybody (within a 30-mile radius of UHNM Royal Stoke)
• Subject to a site visit, includes the fitting of the kitchen.
• 10 entries per person via text to win
• You must own your own home or have written permission from the homeowner or authority from which you rent the property
• Winner chosen at random on Monday 19 December 2022
• Entry available to all residents of North Staffordshire and South Cheshire (within 30 miles of ST4 8GA) over the age of 18, excluding employees of UHNM Charity or WDPS/Howdens and their families, agents, or anyone else connected with the competition. Prize draw closes midnight on 18.12.22
• Proof of identity and age may be required. Use of a false name or address will result in disqualification.
• Delivery and fitting to one address (within 30 miles of ST4 8GA) is included.
• The winner will be selected at random from all entries.
• Winner will be contacted by the UHNM Charity team and announced via social media channels and website.
• Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted, or cannot comply with these terms and conditions, the promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant drawn at random.
• Failure to respond and/or provide an address for delivery, or failure to meet the eligibility requirements may result in forfeiture of the prize.
• Press, film, and photography will be mandatory on winning, and again on completion of the work
• The winner agrees to the use of his or her name, photograph, and disclosure of county of residence and will cooperate with any other reasonable requests by UHNM Charity relating to any post-winning publicity.
• Entry into the prize draw is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. The promoters reserve the right to amend, hold, void, suspend or cancel the competition at any time where it is reasonable to do so and reject entries from entrants not entering the spirit of the competition.
• No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are incomplete, damaged, defaced or not received for any reason.
