Rev Carol completes coastal fundraising walk in memory of parishioner

An intrepid fundraiser has completed a three-month coastal walk to thank the ‘wonderful’ staff on our Critical Care Unit.

The Rev’d Carol Roberts walked the length of the Llyn Peninsula in north Wales between July and September.

She said: “My friend Jo and I are fundraising for the Critical Care Unit at UHNM. We are did this as a thank you to the Unit for all they do for the people of North Wales, and also as a particular thank you for the excellent care they gave to a dear friend and former parishioner, Alwena.”

“We both lost a dear friend from Stoke this year and were thinking of him as we walked.”

Their 90-mile walk took the pair from Porthmadog to Trefor past mountains, sand dunes and cliffs.

Carol is also holding a harvest festival hog roast for members of her church in Clynnog Fawr this later this week.

Donations to Carol and Jo’s walk can be made here.
