Physiotherapy team to tackle Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge for UHNM Charity

Josh, Sarah, Iwan, Joe, Aisling, Callum, Vicky and Rachel, members of Royal Stoke’s Specialised Outpatients and Gym Physiotherapy team are tackling the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on 2 June in aid of UHNM Charity.

The team will be scaling the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough- a distance of 25 miles in under 12 hours to raise funds towards new equipment in the Musculoskeletal Outpatients and Gym department.

Physiotherapist Joshua Parkes said: “We wanted a bit of a challenge for the gym and outpatients team to push ourselves physically. Our training and preparation is going well and we’ve already planned out the route. We’ve been going for walks, a couple are currently in training for the Potters ‘Arf Marathon and one or two have even done the challenge before.”

“All funds raised will go towards new equipment to improve the outcomes of both our patients and the UHNM staff we treat.”
