Local Hospital Charity to Honour Fundraising Heroes at Prestigious Charity Champions Evening

UHNM Charity is delighted to announce the return of its celebrated Champions Evening, set to take place on Friday, March 27th, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Festival Park.

This special bi-annual event, first launched in 2022, is dedicated to recognising and thanking the extraordinary individuals, community groups, and local businesses whose fundraising efforts make a vital difference to patient care across University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.

Steve Rushton, Head of UHNM Charity, said: “Our Champions Evening is a true highlight, and a chance for us to say a heartfelt thank you to the incredible people who go above and beyond for our hospitals. Their dedication and creativity in fundraising transforms patient care across our Trust. We’re so excited to bring everyone together for a wonderful night of celebration.

The evening will bring together over 300 guests for a celebration of generosity, featuring a drinks reception and an awards ceremony highlighting standout fundraising achievements from the past year. From marathon runners and bake-off enthusiasts to dedicated community champions and corporate partners, the event will shine a light on the diverse ways people support their local hospitals.

The March event marks the third edition since the initiative’s inception, underscoring the charity’s ongoing commitment to celebrating its philanthropic community. Each guest of honour attends free of charge as a thank you for their efforts.
