Golf Club Raise Tee-rific Amount for UHNM Charity

Members of Trentham Park Golf Club have raised a tee-rific £3,000 for UHNM Charity.

After choosing us as their charity of the year for 2020, former club president Michael Ford and club captain Andy Frain set about raising as much money as possible for Sepsis patients at UHNM through a series of raffles and fundraising activities.

Andy (centre) said: “Our members gave myself as captain fantastic support and were appreciative their efforts are benefitting local people- at some point we’ll all need the support of services at UHNM. The money was raised through our successful completion of the Welsh Seven Peaks Challenge and a series of raffles throughout the year. Prizes such as Christmas hampers were kindly donated by members and local businesses.”

Former club president and UHNM patient Michael Ford (right) added: “I’ve been a member here for 21 years and I love it. We’ve got a fabulous membership who are very, very supportive of everything we do for charity at the club. It was super we were able to raise such a large amount and everybody is delighted with the result.”

The pair donated their cheque to Steve Rushton, UHNM Charity Manager (left).
