The University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) Charity is thrilled to announce the launch of its highly anticipated 2026 Golf Day, set to take place on Friday, June 5th, 2026, at Barlaston Golf Club. This year marks a significant and exciting evolution for the event, promising a fresh and engaging experience for golfers of all abilities.

Celebrating a successful partnership that began in 2021, the 2026 event will be the sixth consecutive year that Barlaston Golf Club has generously hosted the fundraiser. This milestone highlights a deeply rooted community effort that has raised vital funds to enhance patient care and support staff well-being across the hospitals of North Midlands.

A New, Dynamic Format for 2026

In an exciting update for 2026, the tournament will shift to an individual player format. Moving away from the traditional team structure, golfers will now compete on their own merit, putting their personal skills to the test on Barlaston’s beautiful and challenging course.

"This new individual format opens up the day for everyone," said Lisa Thomson, UHNM Charity Director. "Whether you're a seasoned club member or a casual golfer, you can now enter at your convenience. It's a fantastic opportunity for individual golfers who previously found it difficult to organise a full team of four, and it adds a new layer of friendly competition."

To accommodate this change and welcome even more supporters, a wide range of tee times will be available throughout the day, offering unparalleled flexibility for participants to choose a slot that fits their schedule.
