The Wood family, their friends, and The Littleton Arms in Huntington have raised a significant amount of money for Ward 117 at Royal Stoke University Hospital.
The fundraising was carried out in memory of Pat Wood, who spent 16 months under the care of UHNM teams while receiving treatment for TB meningitis. During this time, Pat was supported by ambulance crews, medical teams, and ward staff throughout a long and complex illness.
Staff from Ward 117 shared their thanks for the generosity shown.
“On behalf of Ward 117 we would like to say a massive thank you to the Wood family, friends and in particular The Littleton Arms at Huntington for their generosity. Through their hard work, kindness, and various fundraising events, they raised a remarkable amount of money that will have a lasting impact on the ward."
“It was a privilege to look after their loved one over 16 months and we will continue to talk about the memories that we made."
“This donation is truly appreciated and we are very grateful.”
The donation will support Ward 117 and help staff continue providing care to patients and families.
UHNM Charity would like to thank everyone involved for their generosity and continued support.
