£1,000 donation from GXO Logistics Stoke M&S to support young patients at UHNM

A £1,000 donation to UHNM Charity from GXO Logistics Stoke M&S will support arts, crafts and activities for children receiving care at University Hospitals of North Midlands.

Colleagues at GXO Logistics Stoke M&S organised a staff shop sale on site, offering beauty products to raise funds for several local community charities.

The initiative raised a larger total, which was then split between a number of good causes. From that total, £1,000 was chosen to go to UHNM Charity to support young patients at UHNM.

The funds will be used by the Children’s Services team to provide arts, crafts and activities that help children feel more comfortable during their hospital stay.

Emma Biddulph, Play Specialist Coordinator at UHNM, said:

“We were delighted to receive this kind donation from GXO Logistics Stoke M&S. Being in hospital can be a daunting time for most adults let alone children, so we’ll use the donation towards arts, crafts and various activities with our younger patients to take their mind off the clinical setting and make their experience a more enjoyable and exciting one.”

UHNM Charity thanks GXO Logistics Stoke M&S and all staff who supported the fundraiser. The donation will help create positive experiences for children and families during their time in hospital.
