Sisterly Love for Critical Care

After her sister Gwynneth was admitted to the Critical Care Unit at our Royal Stoke University Hospital with a serious infection, not only did Amanda Pope (right) travel from Rugeley every day for a month to be by her bedside, but she wanted to say thank you to our amazing staff who looked after her too.

Amanda raised a brilliant £600 through a sponsored alcohol-free October, money which will go directly to the unit which looks after some of our area’s most poorly people.

Keep Fit Group's Year of Fundraising

 Pheonix Keep Fit 8.3.19

A local keep fit group has raised almost £2,000 for the UHNM Charity over the past year.

The Pheonix Keep Fit Group from Newcastle-under-Lyme raised over £1,800 in the past year for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

The group, who meet every Friday at the town's Methodist Church and are run by long-time supporter Ann Culley, raised the money through keep fit classes, sponsored walks and selling knitted baby items, and were presented with their cheque by UHNM Charity Manager Steve Rushton.

Charity Funds Provide New Critical Care Equipment

Patient care in our Critical Care Department has been further improved thanks to funds raised by the UHNM Charity.

The department at Royal Stoke University Hospital was able to purchase a brand new GE Venue ECHO ultrasound machine which can be used at patient’s bedsides.

Le Tour De Stafford helps patients reach for the sky

Le Tour De Stafford, now in its eighth year, is touring their way around Stafford’s public houses in a bid to raise money for charity.  But this year there is a twist, rather than being on a bicycle the group will be riding around Stafford on micro scooters and children’s bikes.
