County Hospital Appeal nears half a million pounds

UHNM Charity is more than three quarters of the way to meeting the County Hospital Fundraising Appeal target of £600,000. To date donations have created safe, comforting and stimulating ward environments for vulnerable patients, including those with dementia, and developed the outpatients unit which is used by more than 125,000 patients a year.

Marathon runners go beyond £10k

Five intrepid runners have raised more than £10,000 for UHNM Charity by running the London Marathon. The money raised will go to good causes across UHNM, including County Hospital, Cystic Fibrosis, Liver disease, Ward 108 and Children's Intensive Care.

Max raises funds for unit which cared for him

Young Max Crompton wanted to thank the unit which treated him for cancer so, with a little help from his mum and 'Max's Superheros' they organised and held a fabulous charity ball which raised an amazing £15,000!

Cardio Team Spin Their Way to Success

A team of nurses and doctors from the cardiothoracic critical care unit have raised an amazing £5409.68 by holding a 24 hour spinathon at the Royal Stoke University Hospital. The team wanted to raise money to buy comforts for patients who are treated on the unit, sometimes for many weeks, following major heart surgery.

Fresh Hair Salon at County Hospital

Since opening in 2011 the Fresh Hair Wigs & Wellbeing Salon has made a huge difference to the lives of thousands of women who have suffered hair loss through cancer treatment or other medical conditions.
