Staff and patients at University Hospital of North Midlands are to benefit from £500,000 state-of-the-art technology thanks to the Denise Coates Foundation.

The first schemes to come on line following a £10 million grant to UHNM Charity will enhance and improve patient care and support our staff at both Royal Stoke Hospital and County Hospital, Stafford through the demand for our services during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Stafford Patient Journey Times Cut Thanks to Hospital Charity

Patients from Stafford and surrounding areas can now benefit from a new eye service at County Hospital thanks to hospital charity funding.

The £200,000 Ophthalmology Department uses the latest equipment to diagnose, treat and prevent various eye diseases, and means patients living in Stafford and surroundings areas can now be treated closer to home without the need to travel to Stoke-on-Trent for treatment.

Tamiley’s Trek for Orthodontics

An Orthodontic Therapist has trekked 50k over the Peak District's harshest environments in torrential rain, all against the clock in aid of UHNM Charity. 

Tamiley Morris completed the '50K Trekfest the Peaks' in a time of 12 hours and one minute to raise just over £1,300 towards a digital scanner in her department.

A craft group from Biddulph has raised £500 for Cardiothoracic Care at UHNM.

The U3A Biddulph Friday Card Group donated the money to UHNM Charity through the sales of its cards.
