UHNM Charity have helped to improve elderly people’s experience of A&E through the funding of a new age simulation suit and goggles.   

The charity-funded equipment replicates muscle wastage and visual impairment, and will be used as a teaching tool for staff in both the Emergency Department and Elderly Care.

A Premier League football manager has tackled a hat-trick of mountain climbs to raise funds for UHNM Charity

Nigel Pearson took on the Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for the Critical Care Unit at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Patients and their families across our area will soon be saying cheers thanks to a donation from a local company.

Leading tableware manufacturer Steelite International has donated five tea sets to UHNM Charity improve patient experience and comfort at both the Royal Stoke University and County Hospitals.

Local shoppers help support NHS cancer research

Staff and customers from McColl’s stores across Stoke-on-Trent and South Cheshire have helped raise more than £4,000 to fund potentially life-saving NHS cancer research.

The fundraising efforts of 22 stores were donated to UHNM Charity, which supports research into breath analysis studies for lung cancer and other diseases at the University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) and Keele University.

A Consultant Urologist from the Royal Stoke University Hospital is tackling Africa’s highest point to raise funds for UHNM Charity and improve the experience of his patients.

Mr Anurag Golash, Consultant Urologist from the University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) will be scaling Mount Kilimanjaro from 22 July to raise funds to improve the Urology Ambulatory Unit he works in.
