Hospital fundraisers bring the sky inside

Kind hearted supporters of University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) Charity have helped improve the experience of both patients and staff by funding the installation of a number of luminous ‘sky ceilings’.

The six ceilings have been installed above the beds of patients in the Critical Care Unit at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Hospital staff scale new heights to improve ward

Fundraising staff from County Hospital in Stafford have climbed the highest mountain in Wales to improve the patient experience on the ward they work on.

A team of doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals from ward seven climbed Mount Snowdon to raise funds for UHNM Charity to redecorate a patient waiting room.

Fundraising on the Menu for Matt

Executive Chef and Vice President of the British Culinary Federation Matt Davies has raised £1,000 for our Therapies Department at County Hospital who helped him recover following a life-changing accident two years ago.

Matt, who was in hospital for three weeks and has undergone six operations, held a fundraising seven-course dinner and auction at the UCB Birmingham last month to thank those in the NHS who cared for him.

Rhys and family lend helping hand

The family of a young patient whose life was saved thanks to the specialists in our Chrildren’s Department have returned to the Royal Stoke University Hospital to show their thanks

Three-year-old Rhys Chauhan spent a week in in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with a severe chest infection, as result of being diagnosed with autoimmune neutropenia (AIN), a condition that is most common amongst infants and young children.

Hospital Charity Celebrates Launch of New Stand

Fundraisers and volunteers joined staff at the Royal Stoke University Hospital to celebrate the official opening of the UHNM Charity stand.

University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) Charity will use the purpose-built stand in the Royal Stoke’s main entrance to engage with patients, staff and visitors and help raise the profile of the charity in a bid to attracting further donations and fundraising .
