Thanks to charitable funding, the Unit has been able to purchase a bespoke safe space bed enclosure, designed to improve the safety of the more active patients.

UHNM Charity provides extra support to new mums

New mothers in North Staffordshire are being provided with extra support and guidance thanks to UHNM Charity.

Using charitable funds, the Maternity Service at the Royal Stoke University Hospital were able to purchase copies of the ‘Mothers and Others Guides’, which provide clinically-approved advice and guidance on breastfeeding.

Brave Beryl says thank you after epic trek

A stroke survivor who raised over £4,500 for UHNM Charity through two sponsored walks has returned to the Royal Stoke University Hospital to thank the surgeon and team who saved her life.

Good Luck to County Ward 7 Team tackling Mt Snowdon

We would like to wish the very best of luck to the team of doctors, nurses and healthcare assistants who are set to scale new heights and climb Mount Snowdon on Saturday 29 June 2019, in the middle of a heat wave, to improve patient experience at County Hospital in Stafford.

The colleagues from Ward 7 will be climbing to transform a nearby side room into a relaxation area that will be used by patients and their relatives.
