NICU join UHNM Charity to mark Prematurity Day

Over 600 staff, members of the public, former patients and their families joined our colleagues from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to mark World Prematurity Day at the Royal Stoke on Monday.

Staff from the Unit were on hand to showcase their work at UHNM and raise awareness of the 15 million babies born prematurely globally every year.

UHNM Charity Launch Biggest Ever Christmas Gift Appeal

UHNM Charity is launching its biggest ever gift appeal to bring some Christmas cheer to children and adults staying in hospital over the festive period.

The Charity, which improves patient care and experience at University Hospital Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) is asking people to donate gifts which will be handed out to patients at both the Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital in Stafford in the run up to Christmas Day.

Susan's Soul Night is from the Heart

A former cardiology patient has held a musical fundraising night to thank the team of UHNM staff who saved her life.

Susan Leeson organised a ‘Godfathers of Soul’ fundraising event  in her local club in Crewe to raise funds for the Cardiothoracic Ward at the Royal Stoke University Hospital who cared for her after a triple bypass.

UHNM Charity Welcomes Daisychain Support

UHNM Charity welcomed Joanne, Tracy and Hayley from our partners at the Daisychain Benevolent Fund to our Children’s Department at the Royal Stoke to show them where their donations through UHNM Charity have been spent.


The Daisychain Benevolent Fund is a local charitable Trust supporting the purchase of medical equipment and training through funds raised from the sale of goods in their charity shops in Silverdale and Smallthorn.
