Hospital Charity Celebrates Launch of New Stand

Fundraisers and volunteers joined staff at the Royal Stoke University Hospital to celebrate the official opening of the UHNM Charity stand.

University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) Charity will use the purpose-built stand in the Royal Stoke’s main entrance to engage with patients, staff and visitors and help raise the profile of the charity in a bid to attracting further donations and fundraising .

Colleagues, friends and family joined Consultant Urological Surgeon Mr Anurag Golash on a lunchtime walk around the Royal Stoke University Hospital site to help him prepare for his epic fundraising adventure to help improve the experience of his patients.

UHNM Charity are asking everyone to raise a cuppa for the NHS Big Tea on 5 July.


The NHS Big Tea is a chance for people to celebrate the birthday of the NHS, recognise the hard work and commitment of staff past and present and raise money for UHNM Charity by hosting tea parties up and down the county.

A long-term supporter has marked her eighteenth year of fundraising for UHNM Charity by making her latest donation.    

Jane Beeston started fundraising for UHNM Charity in 2001 following treatment from our Breast Care Service and has raised over £8,000 to date.

County Hospital Chemotherapy Garden Officially Opened to Patients

Patients, volunteers and fundraisers joined staff at County Hospital in Stafford to celebrate the official opening of a new chemotherapy garden.

The courtyard garden, funded by the UHNM Charity County Hospital Appeal, has been specially designed as a soothing and relaxing sanctuary from the hospital environment for cancer patients and their families.
