Jane's Treble Donation

A long-term supporter has marked her eighteenth year of fundraising for UHNM Charity by making her latest donation.

Jane Beeston started fundraising for UHNM Charity in 2001 following treatment from our Breast Care Service and has raised over £8,000 to date.

She recently visited the Royal Stoke University Hospital to donate £700 to the service, and a further £170 to the Stroke Unit and £180 to Critical Care to thank them for the care provided to a family member.

Jane said, “Everybody was so good at UHNM, they’re like family to me. As long as I can keep on fundraising I will. I live for it and giving back to the people who helped me.”

Jane has raised the money through sponsored runs and head shaves and raffles at Tesco Meir where she works.

Steve Rushton, UHNM Charity Manager said, “Fundraising for so long for the benefit of our services is absolutely amazing. We’re incredibly grateful to fundraisers like Jane, without who we wouldn’t be able to provide that extra level of service and care that our patients deserve.”

Jane’s already planning a further fundraising raffle this year in-store.

Helen Francis, Breast Advanced Nurse Practitioner added, “We’ll make sure we spend Jane’s money on patient comforts including extra chairs, tables and information packs.”
