Craig and Sam Taylor

Craig and Sam Taylor’s son Joshua was born eight weeks early and had to spend time on our Neonatal Unit. During that time the only way Sam could help was to provide her breast milk for Joshua. The nurses on the unit describe breast milk as a ‘medicine’ because it is so vital for premature babies. The wards have special breast pumps which help to stimulate production of the milk which otherwise wouldn’t be there because the baby wasn’t due to be born! Sam and Craig were so impressed with the care they were given during Joshua’s stay that they wanted to give something back and so they raised money to buy another breast pump for the ward.

Throughout one year they completed three 10k runs; a five mile run; the Potters ‘Arf; a walk up Snowdon; an Iron Man triathlon and Sam’s mum did a parachute jump!
