UHNM Charity has launched a brand-new 'Christmas Roadshow’ this festive season as part of patient entertainment system UHNM TV.
'Christmas is for Everyone' will receive and deliver donations from local businesses and people in a bid to help those in need across Stoke-On-Trent and Stafford.
Local charities Alice Charity, Peter Pan Centre, House of Bread, and the Animal Lifeline will benefit from the campaign as the UHNM TV Roadshow points out the importance of giving back this Christmas.
Collections and deliveries will also be accompanied by Appetite who work in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle giving people a taste for the arts by sprinkling a bit of entertainment across the roadshow, as well as local celebrities to add some extra festive cheer.
Lisa Thomson, Head of Communications and Charity at UHNM said: “Here at UHNM Charity we are passionate about supporting our communities. Over the past 12 month the generosity of local people to both Royal Stoke and County hospitals has been overwhelming and whilst we want to continue to invest in areas where the NHS does not fund to support our patients and our staff we also wanted to help those in need over this festive period."
"Thank you to everyone involved in helping us to make our seasonal road show a success and deliver much needed goods to local charities.”
Gemma Thomas, Director at Appetite added: “We’ve worked with UHNM Charity over a number of years, we’ve renewed our partnership and are working with the team to support with arts and entertainment. We’re looking forward to sprinkling a little bit of fun and joy to the UHNM TV Christmas roadshow, and supporting the brilliant appeal to make sure Christmas really is for everyone!”
“Sadly, there are far too many families in Newcastle and Stoke on Trent that need our support and the number is increasing. We are thrilled to have been chosen by UHNM Charity. Your donations will ensure that more Alice families can enjoy some festive treats this Christmas. Thank you”.
Peter Pan Centre
“We are delighted to be a chosen charity of the ‘Christmas is for Everyone’ appeal. A huge thanks to everyone involved for bringing the magic and wonder of Christmas to the children of the Peter Pan Centre, after a particularly challenging year”.
House of Bread
"At House of Bread, all are welcome all the time, this is particularly important at Christmas time. The opportunity of being part of this wonderful project will ensure all our friends get and feel the Christmas spirit".
"Animal Lifeline is delighted to be one of the nominated charities to benefit from this wonderful community-based campaign. We have been rescuing and rehoming abandoned dogs in North Staffs for over 40 years, saving thousands of dogs in that time. We normally have up to 90 in our Serendipity rescue kennels and sanctuary at Cellarhead and without the kind and generous support of the public, we just couldn't save so many little lives".
